is St. Germaine?
Our
Mission is simple: To help stop child abuse in San Diego
County.
The St. Germaine Auxiliary to the Child Abuse Prevention
Foundation is celebrating its 19th year as a nondenominational,
nonprofit 430 member volunteer organization committed to enhancing
the lives of abused and neglected children in San Diego.
The auxiliary supports over 10 group homes and agencies responsible
for the care, shelter, and treatment of abused and at-risk children
from birth to age 18. In addition to annual monetary awards to support
program services, the Auxiliary provides new and used clothing,
equipment, toys, school supplies, household items and volunteer
hours.
The St. Germaine Auxiliary raises funds and public awareness through
fund-raising events, membership does, cash and in-kind donations.
Every contribution is welcomed and appreciated. Since its founding
in 1984, the Auxiliary has awarded over $1.5 million in cash and
an estimated $1 million of in-kind donations to the San Diego community,
as well as countless hours of volunteer time. Staffed entirely by
volunteers, the Auxiliary’s administrative costs are paid
through membership dues.
One hundred percent of direct contributions to the St.
Germaine Auxiliary go toward supporting child abuse programs.
